Their main objective is to cater to people from all walks of life, not just the rich and the elite. Whether household use, catering or for special occasions, our client has something for everyone.
Their products were selling like hot cakes in stores, but their eCommerce website presented a gloomy picture. The website’s performance was dismal. Sales were dwindling and customers abandoned their carts. At this juncture, Tridhya Tech stepped in and dealt with the problem. Let’s find out how they did it.
Slow-loading website pages were a serious concern for our client. Due to slow-loading pages, our client’s website experienced a high bounce rate and reduced conversions. Time was a luxury they did not have, and they wanted to fix the issue as soon as possible.
Apart from the slow website, the checkout process was complicated. It had too many fields and steps, and only the first product was visible (in the case of multiple product purchases). Customers abandoned their carts, and they never visited the website again.
Importing data from the inventory management and integrating it with the eCommerce website was a major challenge. The inconsistent data and lack of real-time updates resulted in out-of-stock products being shown as available, leading to customer dissatisfaction.
Implementing a third-party caching system enabled faster page loads. Our team also used the Ultimo theme in Magento 1, which didn’t use much system resources but optimized website speed at the same time. Overall, these efforts resulted in significantly faster page loading times.
Our team improved the checkout experience by making a few changes. The steps became smoother with fewer information fields. Also, our team enhanced the user interface, making it easier for users to navigate the website and complete their purchases.
Integrating the ERP system with the eCommerce portal did wonders. The ERP system became a central repository for product information, resulting in a holistic product view, increased data accuracy, and real-time order processing.
The road was tough but we finally did it. After we optimized the website, our client witnessed a considerable increase in sales. Also, we cut down the checkout time by half, resulting in improved customer experience and positive reviews. Over time, our client experienced benefits like never before.
Less cart abandonment resulted in smoother purchases, and customers returned to shop on the portal. After the page loading speed improved, the client’s website ranked higher on search engines. Since all the information is now stored on the ERP system, there is no overselling, and the online store never runs out of products. Although the client consults us regularly for little tweaks, they are doing exceptionally well.
