Our client approached Tridhya Tech to develop a mobile app that would allow surfers to easily identify the finest surf locations in the Sunshine Coast region and obtain precise information about current wave conditions, tide information, water temperature, and wind direction. The client desired that the app include sophisticated features that would show premium surf locations with the finest weather conditions. Additionally, the client wanted the app to assist surfers in finding nearby surf locations and provide information about wave type, bottom type, crowd factor, and premium tides of a specific beach.
One of the challenges Tridhya Tech faced while developing the Combi Surf app was integrating a reliable and accurate real-time surf forecast data feed into the app. To provide users with the best surf areas based on current conditions, the surf forecasting system needs up-to-date information.
Another challenge faced by Tridhya Tech was implementing the Wave Finder trial period and subscription model. The app allowed users to access the Wave Finder option for a 7-day trial period from the time of registration. After the trial period, users needed to subscribe to continue accessing the Wave Finder feature.
Tridhya Tech faced the challenge of effectively managing and presenting surf spot data within the app. The app needed to display detailed information about various surf spots, including location, wave conditions, tide information, wave type, bottom type, crowd factor, and premium tides. Presenting this information in a user-friendly and visually appealing manner was crucial for Tridhya Tech.
