Our client for this project is a reputed company that provides market intelligence services for chemical businesses. Their services include tracking current and historical pricing trends, monitoring import/export volumes, tariffs, and regulatory development in different jurisdictions. They had everything in place except for a market intelligence platform.
After an initial SWOT analysis, we knew we had the answers to their questions. After careful planning and consideration, we developed a robust market intelligence platform for the client. What were their expectations from the platform? How did we deliver? What methodology did we use? This case study will shed light on the project’s challenges, solutions, and other aspects.
The biggest challenge was to eliminate manual data entry. Besides being painfully slow and error-prone, manual data entry hampered the productivity of the client’s employees. We had to develop an automated solution.
Data from various sources made analysis complicated and time-consuming. The client wanted a system to integrate data from multiple sources, clean it, and store it in a single repository to facilitate data analysis.
The client's current platform was outdated and had a complicated user interface. The client wanted a platform with a simple user interface that provided download options in multiple formats.
We developed a platform with automated data acquisition tools to import data from multiple sources like spreadsheets, existing systems, and legacy systems. Furthermore, we also implemented data validation checks to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Our market intelligence platform successfully integrated data from multiple sources, including software, existing systems, spreadsheets, and legacy systems, for seamless integration and analysis. The tool also includes data visualization tools to discover new trends and insights.
After repeated discussions and refinements, we created an intuitive and user-friendly interface for the market intelligence platform. It has robust and simple functionalities and allows users to export data in various formats like CSV, PDF, Excel, etc.
