Our client Simba Food is a leading food ordering and delivery company based in Kampala, Uganda. The client wanted to develop an app that offered users a convenient way to explore a diverse range of restaurants, browse menus, place orders, and have the food delivered to their location. They also wanted to incorporate distinct features in the app to enhance the overall user experience. The features included table booking services, event listings, order history, favorite restaurant selection, customer support chat, address book, and gift vouchers/coupons. They approached Tridhya Tech to develop a mobile app that would meet the client’s requirements.
Developing an app with a wide range of features, including order history, favorite restaurant selection, chat support, address book, and gift vouchers/coupons, posed a challenge for Tridhya Tech. It was important to incorporate these features without burdening the user interface or sacrificing usability.
It was challenging for Tridhya Tech to implement a secure payment system within the Simba Food app that ensured the protection of sensitive user payment information, while also incorporating a cash-on-delivery option for users who preferred to pay in cash upon delivery.
Tridhya Tech faced the challenge of implementing a robust and user-friendly restaurant booking feature within the Simba Food app. It will allow users to book reservations at their desired restaurants easily.
Tridhya Tech utilized a user-centered design approach to create an app that balanced functionality and simplicity. Our team conducted comprehensive user research and gathered feedback to understand the design and placement of each feature accurately. To provide a positive user experience, our team focused on straightforward navigation, clear labeling, and optimized workflows.
Our team of developers implemented a payment gateway that accepts credit cards, debit cards, and digital wallets. The payment gateway was integrated with industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect sensitive payment information. Additionally, our team also created a cash-on-delivery option. Users could choose this option during the checkout process and make a cash payment when the food was delivered to their location.
Tridhya Tech developed an in-app reservation system for users to search for restaurants, view seating availability, and book reservations directly. Our team implemented a user-friendly interface with intuitive navigation, allowing users to select their preferred date, time, and party size for the reservation. Real-time synchronization with the restaurants’ reservation systems ensured accurate availability and a seamless booking process. We also integrated notifications and reminders to keep users informed about their upcoming reservations.
